Book of Enchantments (1996) (See Short Stories)

The Seven Towers (1984)
Snow White and Rose Red (1989)

Middle-school novelizations:
Star Wars, Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
Star Wars, Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
Star Wars, Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

The Seven Towers was my fourth novel, and my first attempt at
having more than one viewpoint character. It contains one of my
favorite characters, the apparently absent-minded sorceress
Amberglas, and it's just been reissued by Firebird after years of being
out of print.

Snow White and Rose Red is a retelling of the Brothers Grimm fairy
tale "Snow White and Rose Red" set in Elizabethan England. It was
one of my favorite fairy tales when I was growing up, in spite of
having to explain repeatedly that I did not mean "Snow White and
the Seven Dwarfs."

The three Star Wars books were both a learning experience and an
incredible amount of fun to do. I hadn't worked with such an inflexibly
tight time-frame before, and turning a screenplay into a book was a
lot more difficult than it looked at first glance. The folks at
Lucasbooks were extremely supportive and helpful, and gave me
prompt answers to every question I asked (though sometimes the
answer was "We're very sorry, but George Lucas hasn't made that up
yet").
